Cookie policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how ECO OIL RESOURCE EOOD (“we”, “us”) uses them on ecooilresource.com, and your choices regarding cookies
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website
They allow the site to remember your preferences and to work correctly
Alongside cookies, browsers also offer local storage (localStorage)
It serves a similar purpose, but its contents are not sent to the server automatically with every request — they stay on your device until you clear them
This website is kept to a minimum: it sets no HTTP cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking cookies
What we store on your device
| Name | Where | Value | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
eor_cookies |
Browser localStorage — not an HTTP cookie | all (all accepted) or essential (essential only) |
Stores your choice from the banner so that you are not asked on every visit | No expiry — stays until you clear the site data in your browser |
As of September 2026 this is the only value the website itself writes to your device
It is stored locally only, is never sent to our server, and contains no personal data — just which of the two options you picked
Separately from it, Cloudflare — the platform this site is hosted on, and the provider of the Turnstile protection — may set strictly necessary technical values for security purposes, for example when a check against automated traffic is triggered
They serve only to protect the site and its forms and are not used for tracking, profiling or advertising
What Turnstile does and what data it receives is set out under External resources and third parties
Analytics and marketing cookies
This website currently uses neither analytics nor marketing cookies
No web analytics tool is deployed — neither Google Analytics, nor Matomo, Plausible or any comparable service — and no visit statistics are collected
There are no advertising pixels, no remarketing, no social plugins and no cross-site tracking tools
The Analytics toggle in the cookie banner records your choice in advance and is prepared for a possible future deployment
Until there is one, your choice has no practical effect: nothing analytical is loaded either before or after it
Should an analytics tool be introduced in the future, it will not load without your explicit consent, and this policy will be updated beforehand — naming the tool, the cookies it sets and their durations
External resources and third parties
This website loads exactly one resource from a domain other than its own — the Cloudflare Turnstile widget, which protects the forms against automated submissions
Everything else your browser fetches when you open a page — layout, fonts, images, the site’s own script — comes from ecooilresource.com and from nowhere else
The fonts are self-hosted
The typefaces we use (Playfair Display and Inter) have been downloaded and are served from our own server
Your browser never contacts Google, and no data about you — including your IP address — reaches Google while you browse this site
There are no ad networks, no social plugins, no embedded videos, no chatbots, no maps and no analytics services
Apart from Turnstile there is no third party that could set cookies or receive data about your visit
Cloudflare Turnstile
What it is: Turnstile is a service of Cloudflare, Inc. that tells a human apart from an automated program without making you decipher distorted letters or point at traffic lights
It replaces the classic CAPTCHA
Why we use it: the three forms on this site — Contacts, the membership application and the newsletter subscription — are open to every visitor
Without such protection they fill up automatically with spam and with other people’s email addresses entered by a third party
When it loads: when a form comes within 300 pixels of the visible part of the screen, or when you touch one of its fields
On pages whose form sits high — Contacts and the page for an address that was not found — this happens as soon as the page opens, without you doing anything
On long pages it happens only once you scroll that far, and if you never scroll there the script is not fetched at all
The script comes from challenges.cloudflare.com (the path is /turnstile/v0/api.js) and is fetched independently of your choice in the cookie banner: without it the forms cannot be submitted
What data Cloudflare receives:
- your IP address and the headers of the request — browser type and version, language, the address of the page the script was requested from
These reach Cloudflare with the download of the script itself — that is, at the moment described above, and without you having to press anything - signals from your browser and from the way you interact with the page — properties of the browser and the device, mouse movement, use of the keyboard
From these Turnstile judges whether you are a human being - your IP address a second time, sent by our own server — when a form is submitted our code sends the token issued by the widget to
challenges.cloudflare.com(the path is/turnstile/v0/siteverify) together with your IP address (theremoteipparameter), so that the check can be confirmed to have come from your connection
Turnstile may write to your device technical values that the check itself needs
They are strictly necessary for the service you asked for — the protected submission of the form — and therefore, under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, no consent is required for them
Cloudflare states that Turnstile data is not used for advertising, for profiling or for cross-site tracking
The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in protecting our forms against automated abuse
Cloudflare is a recipient of personal data and is named as one in our Privacy Policy
The provider’s own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy (opens in a new tab)
Managing your choice
On your first visit you are shown a banner where you can accept all cookies, allow only the essential ones, or set your preferences individually
How to withdraw or change your choice: press the button below
The stored choice is deleted and the banner is shown again so that you can choose anew — withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it, as Article 7(3) GDPR requires
The same control sits in the footer of every page — the Cookie settings link in the bottom bar, next to the copyright notice
If your browser runs without JavaScript, clear the site data (localStorage) through its settings
On your next visit the banner will be shown again
Your choice does not affect Cloudflare Turnstile: it is strictly necessary to protect the forms and is loaded independently of the banner
You can delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings
Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website works
